§ 18-2-306. PERIODS AND RATES.
(a)
Recommendation. The County Administrative Officer shall recommend to the County Council the establishment or change in the lawful parking time period, hours, days of operation, location, or rate for any parking meter zone.
(b)
Authority. Based upon the recommendation of the County Administrative Officer, the Traffic Engineer may, by regulation, establish and change the lawful parking time period, hours, days of operation, or rate for any parking meter zone, unless, within 14 days of the receipt of the recommendation under subsection (a) of this section, any member of the County Council requests that the matter be forwarded to the County Council for approval or disapproval by the Council at a legislative meeting.
(c)
Requirement. The Traffic Engineer shall have the plate or device required under § 18-2-304(d) of this subtitle altered to reflect any change made under subsection (b) of this section.
