SubTitle 1. IN GENERAL |
§ 21-7-104. AUTHORITY TO ADOPT REGULATIONS.
(a)
In general. The Director may adopt regulations:
(1)
For the issuance of licenses to conduct an electrical business;
(2)
For the examination of applicants for a license;
(3)
For the issuance of permits for electrical work;
(4)
For the inspection of electrical work; and
(5)
In the public interest and in order to safeguard the public health, safety, morals, and general welfare.
(b)
Further requirements. The regulations adopted under this section shall:
(1)
Include proper standards for the exercise of the discretion conferred on the Director under this title; and
(2)
Operate uniformly.
(c)
Copies of the regulations.
(1)
The Director shall keep in a separate book all regulations adopted by the Director and shall cause copies to be printed and made available for general distribution.
(2)
Any printed copy shall be deemed prima facie evidence of the existence of a regulation in any judicial proceeding in the state.
