§ 21-3-202. REQUIRED.
(a)
Person to be licensed. A person in any capacity shall have a valid license for one or more ambulances before the person may:
(1)
Furnish or operate an ambulance in the county; or
(2)
Conduct, maintain, operate, advertise, or otherwise be engaged in or profess to be engaged in the business or service of providing ambulances or ambulance transportation.
(b)
Ambulance to be licensed. An ambulance may not be operated for ambulance purposes unless the ambulance is validly licensed.
(c)
Ambulance crew required. A person may not drive, attend, or allow an ambulance to be operated for ambulance purposes on the streets, alleys, or a public way or place in the county unless the ambulance is under the immediate supervision and direction of an ambulance crew.
