§ 21-16-107. REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSE HOLDERS.

(a)

Each vehicle to carry copy . When in use, each towing vehicle shall carry a certified copy of the license, which may be obtained from the Department without additional cost.

(b)

Relocation .

(1)

A licensee may not change the location of the business unless the relocation is caused by a substantial casualty loss of the location, including by acts of God, without notifying the Department at least 60 days in advance of the change.

(2)

If the new location does not meet all requirements of this title, the Department shall cancel the license.

(c)

Records . All records maintained by licensed towing companies and the contractor shall be open to inspection by authorized police agencies and the Department during normal business hours.

(d)

Location . A licensee may not dispatch a towing vehicle from, or park a towing vehicle at any location other than the premises indicated on the license or from fenced-in storage facilities within view of the premises shown on license.

(e)

Telephone . A licensee may have only one business telephone number at the licensee's place of business but may have an extension of the telephone in the licensee's home or at any other location where the licensee may be contacted.
