§ 21-16-104. APPLICATION.

(a)

Trespass towing licenses .

(1)

Applications for trespass towing licenses shall be made on forms provided by the Department.

(2)

The applicant shall pay a fee of $100 to accompany the application to be retained by the Department to cover initial examination and inspection costs, and, if the application is approved, the applicant shall pay the further sum of $150 covering the trespass towing license for the then current calendar year and thereafter shall pay each year the sum of $150 for a renewal of the license.

(3)

These fees shall be determined by the Director of the Department, subject to § 3-1-202 of the Code.

(b)

Police-initiated towing license .

(1)

An applicant for a police-initiated towing license shall:

(i)

Apply to the Department for a license on a form provided by the Department; and

(ii)

Pay to the Department a license fee of $125 when submitting the application.

(2)

The annual renewal fee for a police-initiated towing license is $50.

(3)

These fees shall be determined by the Director of the Department, subject to § 3-1-202 of the Code.

(4)

The Department shall retain the license fee to cover initial examination and inspection costs.
