§ 21-15-205. SAME - EXCEPTIONS.
(a)
In general. Subject to the requirements of this section, the examination requirements of § 21-15-204 of this subtitle do not apply to an applicant for an on-site utility contractor license, an applicant for a drain and sewer cleaner license, a master plumber, or a master gasfitter.
(b)
Utility on-site contractor. An applicant for an on-site utility contractor license shall provide with the application a current prequalifications certificate to perform, for the county, utility contract work relating to sewer, water, and storm drainage.
(c)
Drain and sewer cleaner. An applicant for a drain and sewer cleaner license is required to submit only proof of experience and a certificate of insurance coverage.
(d)
Master plumber and master gasfitter. Subject to § 21-15-206 of this subtitle, a master plumber or master gasfitter is not subject to the examination requirements of § 21-15-204 of this subtitle if the master plumber or master gasfitter:
(1)
Is licensed in another jurisdiction in the state;
(2)
Pays the fee in effect for the county license;
(3)
Demonstrates that the appropriate insurance required under § 21-15-220(c) of this subtitle has been obtained; and
(4)
Submits evidence satisfactory to the Board that the jurisdiction in which the applicant holds a master plumber or master gasfitter license:
(i)
Maintains a system which is substantially equivalent to the Board's or requires qualifications and examinations which are substantially equivalent to those of the Board; and
(ii)
Has a policy of issuing master plumber or master gasfitter licenses to persons the Board licenses as master plumber-gasfitter or master gasfitter.
