§ 21-15-206. RECIPROCAL WAIVER OF EXAMINATION.
(a)
In general. Subject to the provisions of this section, the Board may waive any examination requirement of this subtitle for an applicant who holds an active plumber license issued by another county or municipal corporation of the state.
(b)
Conditions. The Board may grant a waiver under this section if the applicant:
(1)
Pays to the Board the fee established by the County Administrative Officer; and
(2)
Provides written verification from the other county or municipal corporation of the state that:
(i)
The county or municipal corporation has licensed the applicant by examination; and
(ii)
The applicant has been operating a plumbing business for at least 1 year in that county or municipal corporation.
(c)
Reciprocity. The Board may grant a waiver only if the county or municipal corporation of the state in which the applicant is licensed waives the examination of licensees of this county to a similar extent as this county waives the examination requirements for persons licensed in that county or municipal corporation.
