§ 21-15-220. DRAIN AND SEWER CLEANER LICENSE.

  • (a)

    General requirements. The Board shall issue a drain and sewer cleaner license to a person who has:

    (1)

    Worked in sewer and drain for at least 2 years; and

    (2)

    Been qualified and approved by the Board.

    (b)

    Requirements for a business. At least one principal or officer of every business working in the drain or sewer cleaning business in the county shall have a county drain and sewer cleaner license and shall be responsible for the work.

    (c)

    Insurance. The license holder shall carry insurance in the following amounts as a minimum:

    (1)

    Comprehensive general liability — $ 300,000 for each occurrence; and

    (2)

    Property damage — $ 100,000 for each occurrence.

    (d)

    Additional requirement for advertising and trucks. A person holding a drain and sewer cleaner license only shall so indicate on the person's trucks and advertising by displaying the license number and the words "drain and sewer cleaning only".
