§ 20-5-106. REVIEW AND REVISION OF SEWER SERVICE CHARGE AND TREATMENT SURCHARGE.

  • (a)

    The sewer service charge and the rates, classifications, and procedures established by the County Executive shall be reviewed at least every two (2) years and shall be revised, if necessary, to accomplish the following:

    (1)

    Maintain the proportionate distribution of operation and maintenance (including replacement) costs among user classes, if applicable; and

    (2)

    Generate sufficient revenue to pay the total operation and maintenance (including replacement) costs of the system and pretreatment program.

    (b)

    The treatment surcharge shall be reviewed annually by the Engineer and revised accordingly to reflect the actual cost of treatment or removal of BOD, TSS, or other pollutants subject to approval by the County Executive.
