§ 19-1-203. POLICE SERVICE OFFICERS.

  • (a)

    Appointment. The county may appoint an individual who is at least 18 years old as a police service officer.

    (b)

    Duties. A police service officer shall perform duties determined by the Chief of Police including traffic direction and issuance of parking citations.

    (c)

    Limitations. A police service officer does not have arrest powers and is not a police officer.
