§ 4-4-106. SAME - DISMISSAL AND DEMOTION.

  • (a)

    Dismissal.

    (1)

    (i)

    Subject to subsection (b) of this section, during the probationary period, the appointing authority may dismiss the employee from the employee's job at any time.

    (ii)

    The dismissed employee does not have right of appeal or hearing.

    (2)

    When dismissing an employee under this section, the appointing authority shall give the employee reasonable notice of the dismissal action as provided for in the Personnel Rules and shall forward a copy of the notice to the Director of Human Resources.

    (b)

    Demotion. If the promotion of an employee is terminated during the employee's probationary period, the employee shall revert to the employee's former job.
