§ 4-3-302. COUNTY MAY PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION FOR EMPLOYEES.

  • (a)

    In general. If the Office of Budget and Finance determines that providing a transportation service to county employees is in the best interest of the county, subject to the approval of the County Administrative Officer, the county may provide transportation for its employees from the vicinity of or from their homes to the vicinity of or place of employment of its employees in county owned, leased, or maintained vehicles.

    (b)

    Terms and conditions determined by the office. The transportation service for county employees shall:

    (1)

    Be self-supporting; and

    (2)

    When made available, be on the terms and conditions and subject to rules adopted by the Office of Budget and Finance.

    (c)

    Authority to withdraw, amend, or curtail service. Subject to the approval of the County Administrative Officer, the Office of Budget and Finance may withdraw, amend, or curtail the transportation service for county employees if the Office of Budget and Finance considers it appropriate, advisable, or desirable in the best interests of the county.
