§ 4-3-301. OFFICIAL PURPOSES ONLY.

  • (a)

    In general. Except as provided in this subtitle, a county owned automobile, truck, or piece of equipment of any kind and description shall be used for official purposes only.

    (b)

    Other uses authorized. Unless an official or employee of the county first receives a written permit from a higher authority, the official or employee may not use county-owned property for other than:

    (1)

    Official purposes; or

    (2)

    Traveling from home to work or from work to home.

    (c)

    Disposition of copies of permit. The head of a county office, department, board, or agency who issues a permit under subsection (b) of this section, shall immediately send a copy of the permit to the County Administrative Officer and the County Council.
