§ 4-3-102. VIOLATION A MISDEMEANOR.

  • (a)

    Misdemeanor.

    (1)

    A person who violates a provision of the following is guilty of a misdemeanor:

    (i)

    Title 1, 2, 4, 5, or 6 of this article;

    (ii)

    Subtitle 1 or 4 of this title; or

    (iii)

    The Personnel Rules.

    (2)

    A person convicted of a misdemeanor under this section is subject to penalty provided for in § 1-2-217 of the Code.

    (b)

    Ineligibility for county employment.

    (1)

    A person who is convicted of a misdemeanor under subsection (a) of this section is also ineligible for appointment to a position in the county government for a period of 5 years after the conviction.

    (2)

    If a person who is convicted of a misdemeanor under subsection (a) of this section is an officer or employee of the county government, the person also shall forfeit the person's office or position.
