§ 3-3-302. MEMBERSHIP.
(a)
Composition; appointment of members.
(1)
The Agricultural Land Preservation Advisory Board consists of five members appointed by the County Executive and confirmed by the County Council.
(2)
Of the five members of the Board:
(i)
Three must be owner-operators of commercial farm land from which they earn 50% or more of their income from farming; and
(ii)
At least one member must own a farm:
1.
On which easements have been sold; or
2.
In a state agricultural district.
(b)
Qualifications. Each member of the Board must be a resident of the county.
(c)
Tenure; vacancies.
(1)
The term of a member is 5 years and begins on July 1.
(2)
A member may not serve more than two successive full terms.
