§ 3-3-205. MISCELLANEOUS POWERS AND DUTIES.

(a)

Powers. The Commission on Aging may adopt rules of procedure for the conduct of its business.

(b)

Duties. The Commission shall:

(1)

Act as an advisory body to the Department of Aging; and

(2)

Make recommendations to the Department of Aging regarding plans and programs in areas including housing, health, income maintenance, nutritional programs, medical care, meal delivery, social, psychological, and legal counseling, and other programs which directly benefit the health, safety, and welfare of elderly individuals in the county.
