§ 28-1-103. SAME - CHARGES AND EXPENSES.

(a)

County to appropriate funds. Each year, the county may appropriate and pay to the County Board of Education not more than $15,000 from funds received by the county for a general county purpose that are not derived from:

(1)

The tax rate; or

(2)

Any unexpended balances.

(b)

Use of funds by Board of Education. The Board shall use the funds appropriated by the county under this section:

(1)

To defray any costs incurred by the Board in transporting children attending private school as required under § 28-1-102 of this article; and

(2)

At the discretion of the Board, for the establishment of new bus routes to transport children to and from private schools.
