§ 21-16-114. SAME - REPAIRS BY THE TOWING COMPANY.

(a)

Signed agreement required.

(1)

A towing company may not make repairs for consideration on a disabled vehicle removed by a towing vehicle without first entering into a signed agreement with the owner of the disabled vehicle or the owner's authorized representative.

(2)

A signed agreement shall include an estimate of repairs.

(b)

Copies.

(1)

One copy of an agreement entered into under this section shall be given to the owner of the disabled vehicle or the owner's authorized representative.

(2)

The licensee shall retain one copy of an agreement entered into under this section as permanent record for a period of 2 years.
