§ 21-15-202. DRAIN AND SEWER CLEANING.

(a)

In general. Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, only a county registered master plumber or a county licensed drain and sewer cleaner may clean stoppages or obstructions in private drainage systems.

(b)

Exception. This section does not apply to:

(1)

Owners of residential or commercial buildings doing their own work; and

(2)

Employees or agents of state or federal government doing the work on state or federal property.
