§ 21-14-103. APPLICATION FOR A PERMIT.

  • (a)

    In general. An applicant for a parade permit shall:

    (1)

    Not less than 45 days before the proposed date for the parade, file an application with the Director on forms required by the Director, except as provided in subsection (c) of this section; and

    (2)

    Pay to the Director a reasonable application fee established by the County Administrative Officer.

    (b)

    Required details. The Department shall require the applicant to:

    (1)

    State:

    (i)

    The highways through which and the hours within which the parade is to pass;

    (ii)

    The approximate number of persons, animals and vehicles that will participate in the parade; and

    (iii)

    The number of vendors that the applicant anticipates will be in attendance along the parade route;

    (2)

    Attach to the application a copy of the proposed route; and

    (3)

    Provide other information that the Director by regulation requires.

    (c)

    Late application. If good cause is shown, the Director may consider an application which is filed less than 45 days before the date the parade is to be conducted.

    (d)

    Application forwarded to the Police Department. Immediately on receipt of an application for a permit, the Department shall forward a copy of the application to the Police Department for review and recommendations.
