§ 21-12-210. SALE OR TRANSFER OF MINIBIKE.

  • (a)

    Information on sale. A person who sells a minibike shall inform the buyer that registration may be required before the minibike may be driven in the county.

    (b)

    Expiration of registration.

    (1)

    If the owner of a minibike registered in the county assigns or otherwise transfers the owner's title or interest in the minibike, the registration of the minibike expires.

    (2)

    The owner shall remove the registration plate from the minibike and surrender it and all other evidence of registration, including the registration card, to the Department for cancellation.

    (c)

    Transferee to secure new registration. Before the transferee of a registered minibike may drive a minibike or allow it to be driven on private property, the transferee shall apply for and obtain a new registration of the minibike, as an original registration.
