§ 20-1-123. CONSTRUCTION OF SYSTEM BY PRIVATE PERSONS WHERE SUPPLIED BY DISTRICT.

  • No water supply, sewerage, or stormwater drainage system or any part or appurtenance thereof or no water main, sewer, or drain or connection therewith within such parts or portions of the metropolitan district as have been supplied with sewerage or water systems under the provisions of this article, whether upon private premises or otherwise, shall be constructed by any person without the written consent of and under rules prescribed by the Director of Public Works, and any violation of this section shall be punishable as a misdemeanor. The provisions of this section shall not apply to the properties, plants, franchises, or rights of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore or to any properties, plants, franchises, and rights that may be hereafter acquired by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore for the protection or enlargement of its water supply, sewerage, stormwater drainage, or refuse disposal systems or any other of its utility properties.
