§ 19-3-108. DENIALS AND REVOCATIONS.

  • The Department may deny a permit to any applicant or revoke a permit of a permit holder if the denial or revocation is deemed by the Chief or the Chief's designee to be in the best interests of the county, including the following reasons:

    (1)

    The denial or the revocation is necessary, in the view of the Chief, to promote and further the public interest, the orderly operation of the Police Department, or the safety of the public or the employed officers or deputies;

    (2)

    The applicant, permit holder, or any officer or deputy engaged by the permit holder has violated this title or any regulation or policy adopted under this title or any other policy of the Department or, if applicable, the sheriff concerning secondary employment; or

    (3)

    The permit holder has assigned an officer or deputy to a location not disclosed in the application.
