§ 14-3-101. DEFINITIONS.

(a)

In general. In this title the following words have the meanings indicated.

(b)

Emergency vehicle. "Emergency vehicle" means a vehicle designated as an emergency vehicle or authorized to be an emergency vehicle by the Administrator of the State Motor Vehicle Administration.

(c)

Fire lane. "Fire lane" means a designated lane required to be permanently open for the ingress or egress of Fire Department and other emergency vehicles only, in order to:

(1)

Prevent or control fires; and

(2)

Keep exitways unobstructed for life safety.
