§ 13-7-305. RAT ERADICATION.
(a)
Requirement. When the Director or the Code Official notifies the owner or occupant of a building or premises, in writing, that there is evidence of rat infestation of the building or premises, the owner or occupant shall:
(1)
Institute rat eradication measures immediately; and
(2)
Maintain the rat eradication measures continuously in a satisfactory manner until:
(i)
The building or premises is free of rats; and
(ii)
The Director or the Code Official advises the owner or occupant that there is no evidence of rat infestation.
(b)
Time for compliance. An owner or occupant who does not take rat eradication measures within 5 days after receiving the notice is guilty of a misdemeanor.
