§ 12-5-104. REPORTS OF BITE OR NON-BITE CONTACT.

(a)

Owner. The owner of an animal that is known to have been involved in a bite contact or non-bite contact with a human shall report the contact to the Police Department.

(b)

Victim. A person who has been involved in a bite contact or non-bite contact with an animal shall report the contact to the Police Department.

(c)

Police to notify Health Department. Within 24 hours after receiving notification of a bite contact or non-bite contact, the Police Department shall notify the County Health Department of the details of the incident and a description of the animal.
