§ 10-2-401. GENERAL PROVISIONS.

  • (a)

    Exemption. This subtitle does not apply to contracts for professional capital improvement services.

    (b)

    Contracts for commodities and services. When the estimated cost of commodities and services to be purchased by the county is more than $25,000, the county shall purchase the commodities and services by formal, written contract from the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as determined by the Purchasing Agent, after public notice inviting proposals.

    (c)

    Division into smaller parts not allowed. A contract or purchase may not be divided into smaller parts to avoid the requirements of this subtitle.
