§ 10-11-102. PURPOSES AND USES.

  • (a)

    In general. The Fund shall be used to provide financial support to recreational activities which enrich the lives of citizens of the county.

    (b)

    Purpose. The purpose of the Fund is to provide public recreational services on a continuing basis.

    (c)

    Specific costs covered.

    (1)

    The Fund is an enterprise fund used to pay all costs that are reasonably necessary for the proper and effective operation of the county facilities listed in § 10-11-103(a) of this title.

    (2)

    The Fund may also be used for the financing of land acquisition and construction costs necessary for expansion, enlargement, repair, and alteration of any new or existing recreational facilities owned by the county.

    (3)

    All operations paid for by the Fund shall be financed and operated in a manner similar to private business enterprises.
