Article 4E. CLASS 5A AND CLASS 5B BREWERIES IN MANUFACTURING ZONES |
§ 4E-103. Parking requirements.
A.
Required off-street parking for the brewery shall be calculated based on the following uses and may be located anywhere on the tract:
1.
Interior space for manufacturing/warehouse uses associated with brewery operations, including offices and storage: one space per employee on largest shift.
2.
Interior space for accessory or auxiliary uses that is accessible to the public:
a.
Area devoted to food or beverage service: ten spaces per 1,000 square feet of gross area.
b.
Area devoted to accessory or auxiliary uses other than food or beverage service: five spaces per 1,000 square feet of gross floor area.
3.
Notwithstanding the above parking requirements, on application, the Director of the Department of Permits, Approvals and Inspections may approve a reduction in the amount of parking required upon a showing that the parking provided on site is sufficient for the uses proposed or that sufficient off-site parking will be provided with transportation being provided to and from the off-site parking.
B.
Parking spaces may be created by striping existing paving without the requirement to bring those parking areas into compliance with the current parking design standards.
