Article II. THE COUNTY COUNCIL |
§ 202. Qualifications.
(a)
In General. In addition to the requirements of residence as provided in Section 201(a) of this Article, the members of the county council shall possess the same qualifications for their office as are provided in the Constitution of the State of Maryland for the office of state senator.
(b)
Other offices. No person shall qualify or serve as a member of the county council while he holds any other office or employment for profit of or under the state or county, and no member of the county council, during his term of office, shall be eligible for appointment to any county office, position or employment carrying compensation except the office of county executive.

(c)
Change of residence. If any member of the county council during his term of office shall move his residence from the councilmanic district in which he resided at the time of his election, his office shall be forthwith vacated; but no member of the county council shall be required to vacate his office by reason of any change in the boundary lines of his councilmanic district made during his term.
