§ 9-1-102. CREATION; APPOINTMENT, COMPOSITION AND TERMS; VACANCIES.
(a)
There is hereby created a body corporate and politic to be known as the "Baltimore County Revenue Authority," which shall be deemed an instrumentality of the county and a public corporation.
(b)
The authority shall consist of five members to be appointed by the County Executive, with the advice and consent of the County Council.
(c)
Each member appointed to the authority shall be a resident of the county at the time of appointment.
(d)
(1)
The term of a member is five years and begins on July 1.
(2)
The terms of members are staggered as required by the terms provided for members of the authority on October 1, 1996.
(3)
A person appointed to fill a vacancy shall serve only for the unexpired term.
(4)
A member of the authority shall be eligible for reappointment.
