§ 7-1-202. POWERS.

  • (a)

    In general. The Commission may:

    (1)

    Administer oaths and affirmations;

    (2)

    Issue subpoenas:

    (i)

    To compel the attendance and testimony of witnesses; and

    (ii)

    For the production of books, papers, records, documents, and other tangible objects; and

    (3)

    In accordance with the process set forth in § 7-1-105 of this title, and if necessary to protect the public interest and the integrity of the governmental process, suspend or revoke the registration of an individual lobbyist if the Commission determines that the lobbyist:

    (i)

    Has knowingly and willfully violated any provision of this article; or

    (ii)

    Has been convicted of a criminal offense arising from lobbying activities.

    (b)

    Judicial enforcement of subpoenas. Subpoenas issued by the Commission may be judicially enforced.
