§ 5-1-103. EMPLOYMENT OF PERSONNEL.

  • The county is authorized and empowered to employ such persons as it deems necessary to advise and to assist in the preparation of systems under §§ 5-1-101 and 5-1-102 of this subtitle, which will operate on a sound actuarial basis, and to expend such monies for such services as it shall deem reasonable and proper. The county shall have power to employ or authorize the employment of such officials, actuaries, stenographers, secretaries, or other assistants necessary, in their opinion, for the proper administration of any pension system adopted under the authority of §§ 5-1-101 and 5-1-102 of this subtitle and to pay or provide for the payment of salary and expenses incurred in connection therewith.
