§ 4-4-101. DISCRIMINATION PROHIBITED.

  • An individual in the classified service or one seeking admission to the classified service may not be employed, promoted, demoted, or dismissed or in any way discriminated against because of that individual's race, color, gender, religion, creed, ancestry or national origin, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, or physical or mental disability unrelated in nature and extent so as to reasonably preclude the performance of the employment.
