§ 3-5-102. ORGANIZATION.

  • (a)

    Term of membership.

    (1)

    The term of a member of the Board of Appeals, appointed in accordance with § 601 of the Charter, shall begin May 1.

    (2)

    The terms of appointed members are staggered as required by the terms in effect for members of the Board on September 2, 2003.

    (3)

    At the end of a term, a member continues to serve until a successor is appointed and qualifies.

    (4)

    A member who is appointed after a term has begun serves only for the rest of the term and until a successor is appointed and qualifies.

    (b)

    Compensation. Each member of the Board is entitled to compensation as follows:

    (1)

    The chairman of the Board shall receive $21,630 per year; and

    (2)

    The other members of the Board shall receive $18,540 per year.

    (c)

    Meetings. The Board shall hold sessions:

    (1)

    At least 2 days in each week; and

    (2)

    At other times that the duties of the Board and public convenience require.
