§ 3-3-2202. MEMBERSHIP.
(a)
Composition; appointment of members.
(1)
The Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee shall consist of 11 members.
(2)
Of the 11 members of the Committee:
(i)
Each member of the County Council shall appoint one member; and
(ii)
Four members shall be appointed by the County Executive, including at least one representative of a bicycle advocacy organization active in the county.
(3)
The Directors of the Departments of Public Works, Health, Recreation and Parks, and Education, and the Department of Planning and the Police Department shall each designate to the Committee an ex officio, non-voting member to provide technical assistance.
(b)
Tenure; vacancies.
(1)
The term of a member is 3 years and begins on January 1.
(2)
If a vacancy occurs on the Committee, the original appointing authority shall make the appointment to fill the vacancy.
(c)
Subcommittees. The Committee, in consultation with the County Council, may appoint subcommittees to address and advise upon pedestrian and bicycle issues in individual Council districts.
