SubTitle 18. TELECOMMUNICATIONS ADVISORY PANEL |
§ 3-3-1804. QUORUM; MEETINGS; COMPENSATION; STAFF.
(a)
Quorum. A majority of the Telecommunications Advisory Panel is a quorum for the transaction of business at Panel meetings.
(b)
Meetings.
(1)
The Panel shall meet at least four times each year in accordance with a regular schedule that the Panel shall adopt at its first meeting after July 1 of each year.
(2)
The Panel also shall hold meetings and hearings:
(i)
When called by the chairman; and
(ii)
In accordance with a resolution adopted by the County Council.
(c)
Compensation. A member of the Panel:
(1)
May not receive compensation as a member of the Panel; but
(2)
Is entitled to reimbursement for expenses necessarily incurred, if approved by the Panel and provided for in the county operating budget.
(d)
Staff.
(1)
Subject to approval and appropriate budgetary action by the County Council, the Panel may recommend to the Council the:
(i)
Employment of clerical personnel in order to carry out its functions; and
(ii)
Engagement of the services of experts or consultants on a contract basis.
(2)
All operational costs of the Panel shall be paid from the fees paid to the county by franchisees.
