§ 3-3-1105. MISCELLANEOUS POWERS AND DUTIES.

  • (a)

    Powers. The Human Relations Commission may inform the citizens of the county of practices and patterns of conduct which may constitute discrimination.

    (b)

    Duties. The Commission shall:

    (1)

    Carry out the provisions of this subtitle and Article 29 of the Code;

    (2)

    Approach the problem of intergroup relations in a broad and comprehensive manner in the areas of employment, housing, education, public accommodations, financing, and in other fields in which intergroup relations are in question;

    (3)

    At the directive of the County Executive or resolution of the County Council, review and make recommendations on any matter related to human rights; and

    (4)

    Submit to the County Executive a timely budget request for expenses necessary to carry out the provisions of this subtitle and Article 29 of the Code.
