§ 3-2-302. ADMINISTRATION.

  • (a)

    Director. The Director of the Department of Corrections shall administer the Department and is responsible directly to the County Administrative Officer.

    (b)

    Duties of the Director. The Director of the Department of Corrections:

    (1)

    Shall enforce all laws and regulations adopted by the state or county for the proper administration of the Department of Corrections;

    (2)

    Shall provide information and make reports to the County Administrative Officer necessary for the operation of the detention facilities; and

    (3)

    Is in charge of all persons employed by the county to operate the detention facilities and shall comply with the Charter and county personnel laws and rules with respect to employed personnel.
