§ 3-2-201. ESTABLISHED.

  • (a)

    Established. There is an Office of Budget and Finance as established in Article V of the Charter and subsection (b) of this section.

    (b)

    Transfer of functions. Except as otherwise provided in the Code:

    (1)

    The activities, duties, functions, powers, and responsibilities previously performed by the Office of Finance and by the Office of the Budget are transferred to and merged into the Office of Budget and Finance;

    (2)

    The authority of the Director of the former Office of Finance and the Director of the former Office of the Budget is transferred to the Director of Budget and Finance;

    (3)

    References to the Office of Finance and to the Office of the Budget in the Charter shall be construed to refer to the Office of Budget and Finance, and the Office of Budget and Finance shall be considered in all respects as having the powers and obligations of the former Office of Finance and the former Office of the Budget; and

    (4)

    References to the Director of the Office of Finance and to the Director of the Office of the Budget in the Charter shall be construed to refer to the Director of Budget and Finance, and the Director of Budget and Finance shall be considered in all respects as having the powers and obligations of the former Director of the Office of Finance and the former Director of the Office of the Budget.
