§ 3-2-1502. DIRECTOR.

  • (a)

    Authority. The Director of Recreation and Parks, appointed and qualified in accordance with subsection (b) of this section and §§ 402 and 531 the Charter, is responsible for the general organization, administration, and supervision of programs of public recreation established by the Department.

    (b)

    Qualifications of the Director. To qualify the Director to discharge the duties of the office, the Director shall have:

    (1)

    The education, training, and experience to assure a thorough knowledge of current theory and practice in public recreation; and

    (2)

    The administrative ability to initiate and maintain programs adopted by the Department.
