§ 3-13-103. DIRECTOR TO SERVE AS HEALTH OFFICER.

(a)

Dual capacity. The Director of the Department of Health and Human Services shall also serve as the Health Officer unless otherwise designated.

(b)

Nomination and appointment under state law. This section may not be construed to alter the requirement that the Health Officer shall be nominated and appointed as provided in § 3-302 of the Health-General Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
