§ 34-3-101. REGULATIONS.
(a)
Authorized.
(1)
The Director of Environmental Protection and Sustainability may adopt regulations governing the disposal of urinary and fecal matter and any other form of sewage in any part of the county.
(2)
The regulations may not be incompatible with the public general law or with the appropriate COMAR regulations of the State Department of the Environment.
(b)
Penalties.
(1)
A person who violates the regulations of the county is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine of $1,000.
(2)
(i)
Each day that a person continues to dispose of any sewage in violation of the regulations after due notice has been received from the county to discontinue the disposal shall constitute a separate and distinct offense.
(ii)
The person in violation is subject to a further fine of $200 for each day during which the offense is continued.
(c)
Enforcement. The Director of Environmental Protection and Sustainability may enforce the provisions of this title in accordance with Article 3, Title 6 of the Code.
