§ 34-2-102. REQUIRED WELL YIELD AND QUALITY.
(a)
Yield.
(1)
All wells for domestic use shall be tested for yield.
(2)
The minimum water well yield requirement equals a recovery rate of 1 gallon per minute.
(3)
The methods of testing for water yield shall be determined by the Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability and published in the policy document entitled "Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability-Policy Manual," as amended from time to time.
(4)
The yield test results shall be valid for a period of 3 years after the date of the test.
(b)
Quality.
(1)
A water supply shall meet the requirements of the State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as to bacteriological and chemical quality.
(2)
Water samples shall be analyzed by a certified laboratory.
(3)
The bacteriological and chemical quality test results shall be valid for a period of 180 days after the date on which the sample is collected.
