§ 32-8-206. FLOOD CONTROL AND WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT PROJECTS.

  • Any flood control or water resources management project proposed for a riverine floodplain or impacting tidal or nontidal wetlands in the floodplain area shall:

    (1)

    Require a permit from the State Department of the Environment in accordance with the Code of Maryland Regulations; and

    (2)

    Be subject to review and approval of the Federal Insurance Administration if the project will materially alter the delineation of the floodplain area.
