§ 32-2-103. AUTHORITY OF THE PLANNING BOARD.
(a)
Investigations, plans, maps, reports and recommendations. The Planning Board may make investigations, plans, maps, reports, and recommendations in connection with the planning and physical development of the county.
(b)
Contracts with specialists.
(1)
(i)
The Planning Board may recommend to the County Administrative Officer contracts with planners, engineers, architects, and other specialists for required services.
(ii)
The Planning Board's recommendation shall take into consideration all applicable purchasing requirements.
(2)
(i)
A contract for services under paragraph (1) of this subsection, shall include the requirement that a written report of the work done be made to the Planning Board.
(ii)
Upon delivery of a report, the Planning Board shall file the report with the minutes of the Board.
(c)
Request for assistance from other departments. Subject to the approval of the County Administrative Officer, the Planning Board may request the assistance of any other Department or Bureau.
