§ 32-2-101. MATTERS REFERRED TO THE BOARD.

  • (a)

    Referral by County Executive or County Council.

    (1)

    The County Executive, at the executive's discretion, or the County Council, by resolution, may refer any matter to the Planning Board for review and recommendation.

    (2)

    The resolution may require:

    (i)

    The Planning Board to hold a public hearing; and

    (ii)

    Require the Department of Planning to submit all data, relevant to the matter under consideration to the County Council.

    (b)

    Procedure for reporting; failure to submit report.

    (1)

    The Planning Board shall comply with the applicable procedures set forth in § 32-3-203 of this article with regard to matters referred by the County Council.

    (2)

    If the Planning Board does not submit a final report to the County Council within 180 days after the resolution was submitted, the County Council may have the Office of Law prepare the appropriate report on which the County Council will proceed in compliance with Title 3, Subtitle 2, Part III. of this article.
