§ 2-3-107. ACTION BY THE COUNCIL.

  • (a)

    Committee budget recommendations considered. The County Council:

    (1)

    In considering a proposed county budget, shall consider the recommendations of the Spending Affordability Committee; and

    (2)

    Subject to subsection (b) of this section, shall adopt a budget that conforms to the committee's recommendations.

    (b)

    Council to provide analysis. If the level of budget the council adopts is above the committee's recommendations, the Council shall provide an analysis stating the extent to which the budget exceeds the recommendations and explaining the Council's rationale for exceeding the recommendations.
