§ 29-3-113. PROTECTION OF PROCESSES AND WITNESSES.

  • (a)

    Prohibited acts. A person may not retaliate against another person, cause or attempt to cause a second party to retaliate against a person, or coerce or attempt to coerce a second party to retaliate against a person because the person has:

    (1)

    Lawfully opposed an act or failure to act that is in violation of this article; or

    (2)

    In good faith, filed a complaint, testified, participated, or assisted in any way in a proceeding under this title.

    (b)

    Enforcement. This section may be enforced by civil action.
