§ 21-7-205. EXAMINATIONS.
(a)
Required. An applicant for a master general electrician, a master limited electrician, or restricted electrician license who is an individual shall submit to an examination which measures the applicant's qualifications for the license sought.
(b)
Right to examination. An applicant who otherwise qualifies for a license is entitled to be examined as provided in this section.
(c)
Time of examination.
(1)
The Board shall give examinations for a license under this title during the months of March and September on days determined by the Board.
(2)
Additionally, the Board may give special examinations at any time it chooses.
(d)
Passing grade. In order to qualify for a license, the applicant shall correctly answer at least 70% of the questions asked on the examination.
(e)
Decision of the Board; notice.
(1)
Not more than 45 days after the examination, the Board shall issue its decision regarding the qualifications of the applicant and whether or not the applicant may receive a license.
(2)
The Board shall send notice of its decision to the applicant by mail.
